Arctic Opal Necklace with Pewter 2-Tone Dolphin Ball

In mid summer 1988 a prospector/miner from Fairbanks, Alaska sent us a sample of stone he had discovered in the Wrangell-Chugach mountain area of Alaska. This sample of stone, azurite-malachite, started the search for what we now call Arctic Opal. We have densified the permeable Arctic Opal into a cohesive and integrous block which our cutter can fashion into a multitude of stone sizes. Our workers use the age old process of hand cutting and shaping of all stones. The result of all this is a contemporary, elegant and fashionable piece of jewelry.
